Picnic Plains is our grassy, ride-free parkland that has the facilities you need to set you up for your one-day getaway.
Here, you can prep for waterplay in our change rooms, roll out a rug under the shade of our beautiful established trees, wheel in your esky, and fire up one of the BBQs with all the goodies you’ve brought from home. The kids will be first to spot Refresh ice-cream store to kickstart those summer holiday vibes.
You can also reserve a table in the shade as your home base for the day.

Come and enjoy our deliciously colourful range of fresh local ice-creams and sorbets, healthy fresh juices and acai bowls, and our ever-flowing chocolate fountain. Refresh is located on the Eastern perimeter of Picnic Plains.

Yes. Head to Picnic Plains where we have communal gas and electric token-operated BBQs in our undercover areas where you’ll also find tables and seating.
You can buy tokens for the BBQ at Guest Services, inside the entrance.
No personal BBQs can be brought into Funfields.
No personal BBQs of any kind, including gas, electric or coal, can be brought into Funfields. There are gas and electric token-operated BBQs in Picnic Plains for you to enjoy.
Yes, we are happy for you to bring your own food, snacks and soft drinks into Funfields, with some restrictions.
No alcohol and no commercially-prepared food, like Maccas, fish and chips, or pizza.
In our picnic area, Picnic Plains, you’re welcome to bring your own eskies, trolleys, and food for a BBQ – you can buy a token from Guest Services near the entrance.
No eskies or trolleys are allowed anywhere else in the park.
You can bring your own food to the VIP Day Beds and VIP Cabanas in Birdy Cove and Amazonia Falls.
You can’t bring any of your own food or drinks into the VIP Cabanas in Volcano Beach and Lava Lagoon.

The new Beach Club in Paradise Palms is a licenced venue where you can enjoy a beer, wine or cocktails while overlooking the heated wave pool and tropical lagoon.
There’s no alcohol served anywhere else at Funfields, and we are strictly no BYO alcohol.
No, unfortunately like all waterparks and themeparks with our set up, there’s no discount for spectators. This is because once you’re through the gate, there’s no restrictions.
We do have park entry discounts for Seniors Aged Pension Cards and Australian Seniors Cards.
Even if you’re not planning to jump on our rides or waterslides, it’s fantastic to be part of the festive atmosphere with friends and family, and you can enjoy all our facilities and food venues.
We don’t have a Family Pass. Prices are based on the height of each guest (as this determines how many rides and waterslides they can go on).
We have decades of experience hosting sporting groups, corporate events, Christmas celebrations, fun team bonding, kids’ birthday parties, family reunions, school excursions, and events for the holidays.
We also love planning bespoke events from entire-venue festivals to small private functions.

You’ll find the high velocity waterslides in Thrill Hill, and the waterpark classics in Origin Springs.
There are also some smaller waterslides in the kids’ waterplay area in Amazonia Falls.
Our season starts in November every year and runs through until the end of the Easter school holidays.
